I always thought being a writer sounded so romantic. I pictured myself sitting in front of my laptop, glasses on, coffee in front of me, with a full schedule of book signings, talks, appearances, and book contracts. But being a writer while balancing a day job (that I happen to love), a relationship (that I happen to love), and general life stuff (that I happen to love also) is not so fancy. Mostly, I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m constantly supposed to be doing something that I’m not doing. I suppose almost every woman feels like this about life.
As I am working on the first draft of my next book (SFD or shitty first draft, according to Brené Brown), I’m researching what women want to most read about when it comes to dating and relationships. What topics do you want to read in my next book? By answering one poll question below, you’ll be not only ensuring your preferences are in the book, but helping contribute to one of the most important stages in the writing process – research!

Here are some very non-fancy images of my writing process.
Peace.
